You only need to change the gtkrc file in C:Program FilesGeanysharethemesMS-Windowsgtk-2.0 or your installation folder. We have many themes for Geany but our attention will only be given to just some very few important ones. Only Geany version 1.22+ supports these color schemes. For someone who is in that position, it is actually very easy to do. Geany themes are just a set of color schemes that can be used on Geany IDE/text editor. As a last resource (not as good) allow and document a "less hacky" way to change to dark mode, such as a setting in nf You can change color schemes, but that doesnt affect toolbars and dialogs, only the text editor area. Request: Listen to the system setting, with option to override to dark/light mode from the settings menu. Working in dark mode in the MacOs system (and probably other systems too) it is annoying with a single application that does not adhere, and that does not have an obvious way of changing to dark mode.
